This Event:

As a psychologist, the opportunity to help individuals who are stuck and discouraged can be profoundly impactful. Yet, change can feel elusive to our clients who often need to make internal and behavioral shifts. This presentation will share evidence-based psychotherapeutic practices and principles to build hope and foster the change process. We will explore the role of beliefs and intentions in cultivating one’s mindset, and as well as learn creative and practical ways to enhance motivation for a journey of change.

 

About the Presenter:

Dr. Lori Roberto is a licensed psychologist and faculty member at CNU. Her area of specialization is clinical health psychology and she has a private practice where she offers psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, walk and talk sessions, and resiliency consultations for physicians. Dr. Roberto often works with individuals who have chronic medical illness, pain conditions, sleep disorders, and body or eating related concerns. She has taught at both the undergraduate and doctoral level, including courses in Stress Management, Adult Psychopathology, and Practicum Case Conference.
